**PROGRESSION VERBS (Use consistently across months):**

**TERMINOLOGY CONSISTENCY:**
- **ALWAYS check `reports/glossary.md` for standard product and feature names**
- Use the exact terms listed in the glossary (e.g., "account finder" not "account lookup service")
- Review previous 2-3 months before writing to maintain consistency
- When rebuilding/modernizing, use "Rebuilt [same term]" not a new term
- If introducing a new product/feature, add it to the glossary
**AVOID DUPLICATION:**
- Check previous 2-3 months for similar highlights before writing
- Don't repeat the same feature unless there's significant new work

**ORGANIZE BY USER FOCUS, NOT BY TECHNICAL AREA:**
Group related work that serves the same user goal:

- ❌ Chronological order of PRs

- Second paragraph: Improvements to existing features (if applicable)
- Keep paragraphs focused on one theme
- Use 1-3 paragraphs per major product section

**Problems:** Business jargon ("architectural migration," "modernization," "enhanced," "deployment flexibility"), technical jargon ("JavaScript," "SvelteKit," "implementation," "API," "backward compatibility," "legacy"), focuses on code changes not user benefits.
### ✅ GOOD (Simple and Clear)
> Made the account search tool faster. It now finds accounts in seconds instead of minutes, and all existing wallets still work with it. Users notice the speed improvement when connecting their wallets.
**Why it's good:** Simple everyday words, concrete improvement (seconds vs minutes), clear benefit anyone can understand, no jargon, a friend or family member would understand it.

### Navigation Links

- Include "Previous Month" link if prior month report exists
- Include "Next Month" link if next month report exists
- If this is the latest chronological report: omit "Next Month" link
- If this is the earliest report: omit "Previous Month" link
- Use consistent format: `[← Previous Month]` and `[Next Month →]`
### Section Ordering
1. **Navigation** (first line after title)
2. **Cross-reference links** (second line: "*Also available: [Technical Report](technical.md) | [Research Data](research.md)*")
3. **Highlights** (always first content section)
4. **Publications** (if any - place right after Highlights for visibility)
5. **Repositories** (by activity level - most active first)
6. **Summary** (always last)
### Activity Thresholds
- **5+ PRs**: Full section with 2-3 paragraphs maximum
- **If content exceeds 2-3 paragraphs**: Split into multiple independent sections by topic
- Example: "Unicove - Multisig Features" (2-3 paragraphs) + "Unicove - Network Support" (2-3 paragraphs)
- **2-4 PRs**: Brief section with 1-2 paragraphs
- **1 PR**: Only mention if significant (new feature, major improvement)
**PARAGRAPH LIMIT RULE**: Each section must contain 2-3 paragraphs maximum. If you have more information, create additional sections with focused topics rather than exceeding the paragraph limit.
**If approaching 1000-word limit**:
- Prioritize repositories by PR count (most active first)
- Combine minor repositories (<3 PRs) into single paragraph
- Focus on user-facing improvements over internal changes
- Ensure Highlights + Publications + Top 3 repos covered
- Condense or omit low-activity repositories
### Highlights Section
Choose 3-5 bullets that represent:
- Biggest user-facing improvements
- Performance breakthroughs (with metrics)
- Major new capabilities
- Strategic initiatives
**⚠️ AVOID DUPLICATION:** Do NOT repeat highlights verbatim in body sections. Highlights summarize; body provides additional context/detail.
**CRITICAL RULE - NO PUBLICATIONS IN HIGHLIGHTS:**
- ❌ NEVER include blog posts or publications in the highlights section
- ❌ Publications have their own dedicated section immediately after highlights
- ✅ Highlights should only cover product/feature work and technical improvements
- ✅ Keep publications separate to avoid duplication
**TEXT FORMATTING IN HIGHLIGHTS:**
Use markdown formatting to make key concepts and metrics stand out:
- **Bold** for important features, products, or key concepts
- *Italic* for emphasis on benefits or improvements
- Use metrics/numbers to show concrete improvements
- Combine formatting techniques where appropriate
